Exporting a farm map

My Farm

Sometimes you need to re-use your farm map for another purpose. This page is a guide to how you can export the layers that make up your farm map in HawkEye.

HawkEye allows you to export a shapefile of your farm to allow for easy upload to other programs you, your consultant or spreader may need to use. You can export your paddocks, management zones and exclusions zones from HawkEye.

To export your map

  • Go to My Farm > Export.
  • Select your Projection. This will default to NZTM (New Zealand specific projection).
  • Select your Export reason.
  • Select Export next to the layer you would like to save as a shapefile. Note a shapefile is a bunch of files that are collectively required to be used, and will be pulled together to a .zip file for your use.

Your file will then be available for use.
